Last Updated: September 11, 2026

These Terms of Service explain the rules for using WebUtils and the tools it provides. Please read them carefully. By using the site, you confirm you've read and accept these Terms.

§1 Introduction and Acceptance of These Terms

WebUtils is a website located at https://webutils.my (WebUtils.my) that offers lightweight, browser-based web utilities and related informational content.

These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your access to and use of WebUtils.my and the tools made available through the website. By accessing or using WebUtils, you agree to comply with these Terms.

If you do not agree

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use WebUtils.

§2 Eligibility and Use of the Website

You may use WebUtils only if you can lawfully form a binding agreement under applicable law and only for lawful purposes.

You agree to use WebUtils in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws, rules, and regulations that apply to you and your use of the website.

§3 Description of the Services

WebUtils provides browser-based utilities intended to support practical, informational, development, design, content, and workflow-related tasks. Tools available on WebUtils may include, for example:

Color contrast

Color contrast analysis, including APCA-based checks.

Token and cost estimation for language model usage.

Video safe-zone checking and layout guidance.

WebUtils may add, modify, replace, suspend, or remove tools, features, or content at any time. WebUtils does not promise that any specific tool or feature will remain available.

§4 Permitted Use

Subject to these Terms, you may use WebUtils and its tools for legitimate personal, educational, professional, development, design, testing, and business purposes.

You may also share results you generate using the tools (for example, converted text or generated structured data) as part of your work, provided that your use complies with applicable law and does not violate these Terms or the rights of others.

§5 Prohibited Use

You agree not to misuse WebUtils. In particular, you must not, and must not attempt to:

  • 01Use for unlawful purposes — or in any way that violates applicable law.
  • 02Interfere or disrupt — the operation, availability, or security of WebUtils or its infrastructure.
  • 03Attempt unauthorized access — to any systems, networks, or data connected to WebUtils.
  • 04Introduce malware or harmful code — including by uploading, transmitting, or otherwise providing harmful input intended to damage the website or other users.
  • 05Unreasonable automated requests — including scripts, bots, or scrapers that burden the website, degrade performance, or prevent others from using WebUtils.
  • 06Bypass protective measures — or attempt to bypass reasonable technical restrictions, usage limits, or protective measures.
  • 07Infringe rights of others — including intellectual property rights or privacy rights.

WebUtils may take reasonable measures to protect the website and users, including restricting access in response to suspected misuse or security risks.

§6 Tool Outputs and User Responsibility

WebUtils tools generate outputs based on the information, settings, and selections you provide. You are responsible for your inputs and for how you use any outputs generated by the tools.

You are also responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating tool outputs before relying on them or using them in a production, publication, compliance, or business context. This includes, for example:

1
Contrast results from color contrast checkers
2
Token and cost estimates from calculators
3
Video safe-zone guidance and layout indicators
4
Schema.org JSON-LD markup
5
Placeholder text generated by Lorem Ipsum
6
Converted text from the case converter
Independent review required

Do not rely on outputs without independent review where accuracy, compliance, safety, accessibility, legal obligations, platform requirements, or business outcomes matter.

§7 No Guarantee of Accuracy or Results

WebUtils aims to provide useful utilities, but WebUtils does not guarantee that:

  1. Calculations, estimates, or generated outputs are always accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific use.
  2. Information or reference material used by a tool is current.
  3. Tool outputs will be error-free or compatible with every device, browser, publishing platform, workflow, standard, or third-party requirement.
  4. Use of the tools will achieve a particular result or outcome.

Examples:

EX.1
A Schema.org JSON-LD generator does not guarantee search engine rich results, indexing, rankings, or visibility.
EX.2
An APCA-based contrast result does not, by itself, establish legal accessibility compliance or conformance with any specific accessibility standard.
EX.3
An LLM token or cost estimate may differ from actual provider billing, pricing changes, rounding rules, model behavior, hidden overhead, or provider-specific measurement methods.
EX.4
Video safe-zone guidance may become outdated as platforms change their interfaces, overlays, aspect ratios, or specifications.

§8 Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, WebUtils and its original content and materials, including the website's branding, design, layout, text, graphics, and code, are owned by or licensed to WebUtils and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may use WebUtils for its intended purpose. Except to the extent permitted by applicable law, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, sell, license, or otherwise exploit WebUtils content or materials for commercial purposes without prior written permission from WebUtils.

§9 User-Provided Content and Inputs

Certain tools allow you to enter text, colors, structured data, and other information. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to use and submit any inputs you provide.

Many WebUtils tools are designed to process inputs directly in your browser using JavaScript. However, how a tool processes information can vary by tool and may change over time as WebUtils is updated.

WebUtils does not claim ownership of your inputs merely because you enter them into a tool. These Terms do not grant WebUtils any ownership interest in your inputs.

§10 Third-Party Services, Standards, and Information

Some WebUtils tools may reference or rely on public standards, specifications, platform requirements, or other third-party information. Third-party requirements and information can change, may be incomplete, and may vary across contexts.

WebUtils does not control third-party services, platforms, standards, or requirements, and WebUtils does not guarantee their accuracy, availability, or continued compatibility with any tool output.

§11 External Links

WebUtils may include links to external websites or resources. Those external sites are not controlled by WebUtils.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, WebUtils is not responsible for the content, availability, security, or practices of third-party websites. Your use of third-party websites is at your own risk. You should review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party website you visit.

§12 Advertising

WebUtils may display advertisements or accept advertising placements.

Advertisements and sponsorships are provided for informational and commercial purposes by third parties. The presence of an advertisement does not mean that WebUtils endorses, recommends, or guarantees the advertiser, its products, or its services. You are responsible for your interactions with advertisers and for any purchases or decisions you make based on advertising content.

§13 Website Availability and Changes

WebUtils may modify or update the website, add or remove tools, change features, perform maintenance, and correct errors at any time.

Access to WebUtils may occasionally be interrupted or limited due to maintenance, technical issues, hosting or network problems, security events, or circumstances outside WebUtils's reasonable control. WebUtils does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website or any tool.

§14 Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law, WebUtils provides the website and tools on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

WebUtils disclaims warranties and conditions of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

WebUtils does not warrant that the website or tools will be accurate, reliable, secure, uninterrupted, or free of errors or harmful components.

§15 Limitation of Liability

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, WebUtils will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or anticipated savings, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, WebUtils or its tools, even if WebUtils has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, WebUtils's total liability for all claims arising out of or related to the website or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid to use WebUtils during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. If you have not paid any amounts to WebUtils, WebUtils's total liability will be limited to a nominal amount to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

§16 Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless WebUtils from and against reasonable third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  1. Your unlawful use of WebUtils
  2. Your violation of these Terms
  3. Your infringement or misappropriation of another person's rights through your inputs or your use of tool outputs

This indemnity obligation applies only to the extent the claim results from your actions, your content, or your misuse of the website.

§17 Suspension or Restriction of Access

WebUtils may restrict, suspend, or limit access to the website or specific tools when WebUtils reasonably believes it is necessary to:

  1. Address misuse, unlawful activity, or violations of these Terms
  2. Protect the security, integrity, or availability of WebUtils
  3. Prevent harm to other users or third parties

Because WebUtils does not require user accounts, restrictions may be applied by technical measures such as limiting requests from a device, browser session, or network.

§18 Changes to These Terms

WebUtils may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on the Terms of Service page with an updated "Last Updated" line.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, your continued use of WebUtils after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

§19 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Replace the draft text with, for example: "These Terms are governed by the laws of [Country / State]. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in [City, Country]."

§20 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by applicable law.

§21 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any policies that WebUtils expressly incorporates by reference, form the entire agreement between you and WebUtils regarding your use of WebUtils, subject to applicable law.
